An Introduction To Holly and Claire's Magical World...

Once, not too long ago, there was a time when witches and demons blended into our society and lived human lives.  They also lived by a set of rules created by a council of elders, and angels called 'whitelighters' helped young witches obey those rules and vanquish warlocks and demons.  The Charmed Ones (Yes, Holly and Claire's story is based after the world of Charmed) Phoebe, Piper and Paige, were three of the most famous witches of this time.

However, this rule-obeying time did not last long.  Eventually, a coven of rebellious witches killed the elders and threatened the whitelighters with darklighters' bows and arrows (which contain poison which is the only thing that can kill a whitelighter), causing them all to flee and go into hiding.  Then, all witches could now be free to do nothing but vanquish evil and do whatever they please with their magic - no 'personal gain' consequences.  Witch children do not go to school, and witch adults do not have a job.  They conjure up houses and possessions and go crazy with their magic.  Without their whitelighters for protection, witches kept their familiars (animals that guide young witches) forever, and taught them magic, so they could defend themselves.  Witches have fallen astray, but the only good part of it is that with this boost in power, good is definitely winning over evil.

There are, however, a few families of witches that have stayed traditional.  The children go to school, the adults have paying jobs, and their lives are more normal than magical.  The close families of the Jensons and the Chings are two such examples.  In fact, the children in those families do not even practice Wicca or know that others like them live so freely.

Holly Jenson, the oldest child in her family, has the power to do anything - ANYTHING - she wants to anything of nature - not mand-made.  This is a rare and coveted power, which is why Holly's parents are always so worried about her.  Any demon would just love to kill Holly and steal her power for themselves.  This is an ideal power for Holly, as she loves and appreciates anything of nature.  She is also an animal lover, and her familiar is a dog named Skye.  She has a sister who is two years younger than her, Livy, and is obsessed with her looks, since she has the power of shapeshifting.  She also has a baby brother who has the power to orb (transport).

Claire Ching lives next door to her best friend Holly.  She gets treated as an only child, since all her older siblings are already all out of the house.  She is very spoiled, and is a serious figure skater.  She hates her braces, and wants to use the vanishing spell (all you Charmed junkies will remember that one!) to get rid of them.  Claire has the power to freeze (like Piper!!!) and has a familiar, a dog named Skater.

Here, Holly demonstrates her power to distort nature.  She takes a normal red rose, and turns it into a giant black one!And now, Claire shows us her power to freeze when Holly throws the rose up, and Claire freezes it in mid-air.
